The TRF offers a variety of study programs for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees: From the broadly diversified single major study and major programs “Theology” and “Study of Religion,” to minor programs such as “Ethics and Society” and “Ancient History of Religions,” to specialized Master programs such as “Religion - Economy - Politics” or “Christianity in Society.”

At the TRF, foreign students find ideal conditions for a one or two-semester visiting student program. Among other things, you benefit from the exceptionally broad range of content, excellent infrastructure and personal support from the instructors.

Interested high school graduates can spend a taster day at the TRF and get to know the faculty and the study programs without obligation. In addition, the UZH student study program is open to them. Teachers are welcome to come to the TRF with their school classes or are visited by teaching staff in the classroom on request.

To earn a doctoral degre at the TRF

In addition to Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, the TRF also offers various PhD conferrals – either as part of an individual doctorate or in a doctoral program. Information on admission, the PhD thesis, supervision and curricular components can be found in the section “for PhD candidates.”

Career perspectives

TRF’s study programs prepare you ideally for a whole range of professions. Depending on your interests and choice of program, you can choose from a wide range of prospects: from working as a pastor, journalist, cultural mediator, in schools or as a pastor to working in diplomacy and development aid.

Orientation guide: “Student ABC”

The association’s “ Student ABC” contains lots of valuable information and tips. It therefore not only offers orientation for first-year students, but is also interesting for students in higher semesters.
